Privacy Policy

Who we are

BaseStation Content Intelligence is operated by BaseStation Private Limited (“BaseStation”, “we”, “us”), a software development company at https://base-station.io. For questions about this policy, contact [email protected].

Scope

This privacy policy covers the Content Intelligence tool only — an internal application used for commercial keyword research related to BaseStation’s own services. It does not describe how the public marketing website handles visitor information.

Who can use it

Access is limited to BaseStation Private Limited employees (marketing, content, and engineering). External agencies, clients, and the public cannot access the tool or call the Google Ads API through it.

What data we process

In operating Content Intelligence, we process:

  • Google Ads and Google Cloud credentials configured in our backend environment (service account access, developer token, linked Ads account identifiers). These are operational credentials, not personal data collected from website visitors.
  • Keyword research outputs stored in our private Postgres database: keyword text and normalized forms, search volume and competition snapshots, ingestion run status and errors, and optional content opportunity scores and brief titles after enrichment.
  • Internal content digests delivered to BaseStation-owned Telegram and/or Mattermost channels.

Google Ads API

The tool calls Google Ads Keyword Planner (KeywordPlanIdeaService.GenerateKeywordIdeas / customers.generateKeywordIdeas) to obtain keyword ideas and historical metrics for content research. Authentication uses a Google Cloud service account granted access in Google Ads, a developer token from our Google Ads manager (MCC) account, and our linked Ads account as the operating customer.

We do not use campaign management, bidding, conversion tracking, or remarketing APIs in this tool. Google processes API requests under Google’s own terms and privacy practices.

Purpose

We process this data solely to help BaseStation discover commercial search keywords related to our own brand and services (Shopify/ecommerce development and custom software for startups and SMBs), so our team can plan articles and explainers. We do not manage Google Ads accounts or campaigns for external clients through this tool, and we do not resell Google Ads API access.

Sharing

We do not sell research data or share Google Ads API access with external users. Digests remain on BaseStation-owned internal channels. Keyword Planner requests are sent to Google as required to operate the API.

Retention

Keyword research results and run history are retained in our private database for ongoing internal content planning. Operational credentials are kept in secured environment configuration and rotated or revoked when no longer needed.

Security

Access to the tool, database, and credentials is limited to authorized BaseStation staff and systems. Keyword Planner calls are rate-limited and results are cached so digests are built from our database rather than calling Google Ads on every digest.

Contact and grievances

For privacy questions or concerns about Content Intelligence, contact Rohit Gupta at [email protected]. We aim to acknowledge requests within a reasonable period.

Terms of Use

Acceptance

By using BaseStation Content Intelligence, you confirm you are an authorized BaseStation Private Limited employee and agree to these terms. If you are not authorized, you must not use the tool.

Description of the service

Content Intelligence maintains internal seed keyword sets for our ideal customer profiles, calls the Google Ads Keyword Planner API on a scheduled or manual basis, stores results in Postgres, optionally enriches opportunities for articles or videos, and sends internal digests to Telegram and/or Mattermost.

Daily digests are built from our database cache. They do not call Google Ads on every digest. Keyword Planner calls are rate-limited and re-crawled infrequently (for example, weekly per seed set) to stay within access quotas.

Permitted use

You may use the tool only for BaseStation’s internal marketing and content planning related to BaseStation’s own brand and services. Keyword research jobs and digest review are limited to BaseStation engineers, operators, and content staff.

Prohibited use

  • Creating, pausing, optimizing, or otherwise managing Google Ads campaigns for BaseStation or any third party through this tool
  • Providing App Conversion Tracking, Remarketing, or similar Ads features through this tool
  • Reselling, sharing, or exposing Google Ads API access to clients, agencies, or the public
  • Granting external parties access to the tool, database, or digests beyond BaseStation-owned channels
  • Using the tool for any unlawful purpose or in a way that disrupts its operation

Google Ads API compliance

Operators must use Content Intelligence in a manner consistent with the Google Ads API Terms of Service and applicable Google policies. The tool is designed for internal keyword research only, with caching, per-run seed-set caps, and pagination limits to respect API quotas.

Disclaimer

Content Intelligence and its outputs are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Keyword metrics and opportunity suggestions are informational aids for internal planning and may be incomplete or outdated.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BaseStation shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, Content Intelligence or reliance on its research outputs.

Privacy

How we handle information in connection with this tool is described in the Privacy Policy section above.

Changes

We may revise these terms and the privacy policy at any time. Continued use of Content Intelligence after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi, India.

General

These terms, together with the privacy policy on this page, are the entire agreement between you and BaseStation regarding use of Content Intelligence. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to do so later.
